Hi all,
I am a guitarist who has always been interested in amp design and construction so I have finally taken up the task of learning electronics. I am currently working through "Teach Yourself Electricity and Electronics," a book by Stan Gibilisco.
I understand that I will not be able to jump right into building guitar amps; therefore, my question is what types of beginner projects should I do to increase my understanding of electonics? I have searched the web, and the problem that I find with a lot of kits is that they tell you how to put the components together but they do not explain WHY the components go where they do. Anyone could simply follow a diagram but I want to really understand what I am doing and how the circuit functions. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jay
